How do you react to see an animal being slaughtered?

I am vegetarian and love animals. I think it's wrong for people to abuse and slaughter animals. It might sound silly, but they have feelings as well and get scared and are mistreated. They are living beings and there is NO EXCUSE, just because someone likes the taste of meat we should keep an animal cramped in a cage and living a bad, short life, then killed just for us?? I've not eaten meat in almost twenty years and I love being vegetarian. It's very sad that most people don't want to face the truth about how meat gets on the shelves in stores!

Oh I go crazy, I hate cruelty to animals, a friend of mine took me to a chicken farm near her place to buy some eggs and while she was in buying the eggs i peeked in the sheds and broke down when i saw the poor chickens all squashed up in the cages, my friend told me I shouldn't have looked and I I argued i don't sweep things under the carpet i prefer to know what is happening and maybe try to stop it from happening...we had enormous fight over it and now i only buy free-range eggs...

i get very angry when i see that happen to see that happen in my surroundings ... if i know that person who is doing it i will definitely tell him/her not to do it. but if i see a stranger do it i cannot do anything but to be sad for the animal as i have bad experience when i told a person not to do it.
