Where did it go to?

I was just reading a very inspirational discussion from my friend Transdisc and as he/she gets really educational responses I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my problem.
For many years I always heard about the dreaded "ring around the collar" and many, many types of detergent promised to solve this problem. Nowadays I never hear of this problem so I need to know...did the detergent work, are people not wearing clothing with collars anymore OR are people (God forbid) washing their necks????
Your answer would be appreciated!

LOL Washing their necks, huh? LOL It's not from that normally but from people who tend to do a lot of sweating which stains their shirts. I've had that problem with washing clothes too and I always used Wisk on the stain itself and rub it in till the detergent turns white then it'll most likely come out. Wisk works great on most stains and is why I've stayed with it. Washing their necks... lmao!

How about another choice? Grunge is fashionable, and a ring around the collar is grunge in its finest. I always heard to pretreat it with shampoo, cause shampoo is designed to cut that particular kind of dirt.

What a novel discussion topic and I have to admit it has been a long time since I have heard of the ring around the collar syndrome. I am not exactly sure what the deal is, but I could hope it is a combination of all three that has caused the problem to be a thing of the past.
