Do you still play your PS 2 games? Do you prefer it to the PS3. I have a PS 2 that is broken right now; but I hope to get it fixed. I love all of my PlayStation games from system one forward. What about you?

I bought a play station for my son a couple of years ago and we both have a blast playing on it. I got him games like star wars revenge of the sith, pirates of the carribean, happy feet, ect. I like to play the ATV off road though I'm not really good at it I still play it. I have to eventually find some more games that I can play on it at Game Stop. I hope you get your system fixed soon so you can continue having fun playing on yours.

I still play my ps2 games. Right now I can't afford a ps3 system. Plus the games I would have to buy separate. I'm happy with what I got.

We still have our PlayStation 2 but, its rather picky with the games that it would run. Sometimes, it would let me play a particular title and then other times, it won't or I'd have to try and try until it would eventually let me play it.. That 'PlaySation 2' logo on the screen would seem to assure me that the game has already been read by the console but, it often doesn't and goes back with the red cloudy display whenever you insert something that isn't in a PlayStation 2 DVD format.. I guess if I really have enough money, I would have it modified and have a hard disk drive installed along the network adapter and have it run games within the hard disk drive.. be it PlayStation or PlayStation 2 games I also like particular games that I like from the first PlayStation and I am so glad that the PlayStation 2 can still play them too. The PlayStation 3 on the other hand is no longer backward compatible and I think that's not a bad idea since Sony has already released the PlayStation 2 which is backward compatible, maybe another Sony Console would come around which would accommodate PlayStation 3 games

Well, like what I've already mentioned, the one's I know that some techies do with their PlayStation 2s, they do something with the network adapter and a hard disk drive. The hard disk though is dependent on the model of the PlayStation 2 console so I guess even if you want a very high hard disk so that you can load it up with so much games, let's say an 80 Gigabytes can carry 20 games, assuming that all games would be around 4 Gigabytes, if its not compatible with your PlayStation 2, you'd just have to look for one that its compatible with. Some say that other consoles can only run with 120 Gigabyte Hard disk while others with 160 Gigabyte. If it were only quick swap, you know? Have a couple of Hard disks around with loaded games in alphabetical or by category and you'd plug it in depending on the title that you want. Similar to putting another DVD but, hey, at least games would surely run faster since loading time isn't anymore dependent on the readability of the disc and lens. Of course, some modifications still enable the console to play games using the lens and even copy games into the hard disk through the console's lens as well but, most often, they'd load it through their computers than to tediously copy one title at a time. Well, you can look up HD Loader in the net for a similar way on modifying. Modified or not, hope you can play games again on that PlayStation 2 of yours

My children have a PS2 and they love it, they are good, I think playstation is one of the best games consoles about. My hubby has the PS3 and I have to say the things that it can do are brilliant, half the stuff we can do on it I did not even know about until today so I would say that I prefer the PS3.

The PS3 is impressive however, it isn't what is called "backwards compatible" in the gaming industry, meaning that the older PS2 and PS1 games can not be played on it. They have chosen to have a new system where you have to buy the games on the net and play them. If you already have them; that just bites. Also, the games are not great so far. The graphics are impressive; but the selection is too small. I am going to fix my broken PS2 or actually buy a new one if I can't fix it, since I have so many PS2 games that I very much still play and enjoy. I love the thing. I may one day buy the PS3; but it has to be compatible with my other games first.

No they are not compatible with the old games of the previous playstations, and games can be downloaded off the net and actually they are very good prices, hubby has had a couple. But I guess in time the games selection will grow and then it will not be so bad!

We have all playstation consoles, even the PSP. And I still kind of preferred my PS2 if it wasn't broken. I say so because all of the good RPG games are there. But come 2009 and good games will come to the PS3. So I'll say I prefer the PS3 now.

Yes, I still have my PS1, and use it to this day. I modded it out to a blue "jelly" cover some time back. I will try to shoot a pic. of it today and share it on here. It's still my preferred sound: the boot up sound. I actually want to; (and this shows what a gamer geek I am LOL), get that sound somewhere and replace my windows boot-up sound with that. (There are still games I play on Windows)

What are your favorite games for this console? Are you a fan of shooters? Do you like the simulation aspect of gaming experience or do you like another aspect of it? I really enjoy the way you feel a part of the game in some of these games. It's a way to relax a bit. I think the adrenaline aspect of things can get fun also in shooters.

Well, for starters I am a dudette not a dude. Anyway, I love way too many to list them all. My fist game was Tomb Raider in the simulation fantasy category. Then Silent Hill, Kingdom Hearts, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor. There's a ton more; but these are the ones that I bought each game as a fan, as they were released.

We only have a PS2 and we have two games for it. Tiger Woods 08 and Madden 08. I like the system just fine. We can't afford any of the newer systems that are out. Although we might get the Wii for Christmas.

I have the Wii as well. You will love it if you get into the games like I do. My BF used to laugh at me when I would play the shooters and would almost throw the controller in the direction of the movement. The Wii is great for this because you have to move your arms. Whoot! It rocks.

As a matter of fact, yeah. I am still playing my PS2 until now. I still play the old games I have such as Final Fantasy X and Gran Turismo 3. Just like you, I still play PS1 games especially RPGs and fighting games. I hope you get your PS2 to work again. For the PS3, I have yet to get my hands on one. I'm not sure now though since the last feedback I got was the system doesn't have a good stable of titles. Hopefully, it will catch up to 360. And, with the PS3, I can still play all those old games.

Sony is buggy; that's for sure. I will never pay more than $200. for a new Sony system. I wait until it comes down because of the bugs. Anyway, I still love and play Grand Turismo 3, Paraapa the Rappar (sp?), Gex 1-3, Tomb Raider has been transferred to my PS2 now with theupdates, which I loved, and which I feel I had something to do with. (I wrote the producers and owners of the Tomb Raider francise and asked, several ways, for the Tomb Raider one to be put into the next gen. software, and whammo! Anniversary appeared. Yes!) I also love and still play: Tetris, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy: all of the games over and again to find all of the "Easter Eggs"; Cool Boarders 3, and several others. There are too many to name. Basically, I play them as the urge hits, I try different things in the game each time, and now I also try new cheats to see things. It's sad really LOL. But! I love it.

I've not played with it for a while as I've been playing new games on the PS3 but I know I will go back and play my PS2 games again. I just love playing games again and again and again. I understand why some people like to complete and then get rid but I just like playing games over and over. The one I've played most times to completion is Tomb Raider The Last Revelation. I just love it and think it is the best Tomb Raider so far.

I know; me as well. If they had made the new system back-wards compatible I would have been tempted, once the price came down. Since they were greedy and made it so you had to buy the games again online; forget that!

Yeah I love PS2 my day won't be complete without me playing games with it. I even get some arguments with my son in playing PS2 cause sometimes we both want to play but we don't like to play a same game.Although there are times that we play together it is our bonding moment too.

Oh, that's too funny. I don't have children; but I do have a God-daughter. So, I don't have to share with kids. I do think that it could be fun to be able to understand what your kids are talking about; which I would. So ,many parents are clueless about this sort of thing.I think "mommy" would have to have her own if I did, just to be fair to the kids. LOL By the way, I got my system back up and running. I basically took it apart and replaced the motor that had burned out. Put it back together, and I am back in the gaming seat. Oh yeah!

I love the PS2. It's the first console I actually bought before it was mostly in the decline. The games are great, the graphics are still great by today's standards too. I love my PS3, but it doesn't have a lot of games yet. E3 has shown us a few that piqued my interests. Here's to a good year for Sony!

I know, the PS3 is something that I can't choose at the moment. I also have heard that the PS4 is coming anyway, and perhaps It will play my old games as welkl as my new ones. Cheers
