Yes, it is true. Alley Oop was a fictional comic strip character who was a caveman with a pet dinosaur. He was brought to modern times by a scientist with a time machine. Science teachers when the strip was popular were always pointing out that man and dinosaurs did not co-exist in time so the strip really was fiction not possible even if time machines were real. There is really good reason to believe man and dinosaurs lived in different time frames and there have been too many hoaxes concerning fossils to count them all. What do you say?
