rafa failed to get the outright number one spot after failing to defeated number 3 seed djokovic but that doesn't affect his chances of dethroning king roger from the number one spot. it is just a matter of time and when the rankings will come out in two weeks time, rafa will become the third spaniards to hold the number one spot. rafa just lost steam and wore down when a much hungrier djokovic ousted him in the semi-finals by a stunning 6-1, 7-5 victory. would nadal last longer? he he ready to reign longer in the top spot? i think rafa was worn out from months of non-stop playing tennis and winning games. which you can't see from king roger when he was healthy. well, let's just see what will happen in the next few weeks after the olympics and the last grand slam for the season. hello flushing meadows..!!!
