Is the internet really safe?

i love the internet and i use it a lot, but sometimes i really feel unsafe when i use it because i hear all these horror stories about hackers and identity theft, and it really makes me cringe and i saw a discussion about someone who's account got hacked in to and im like woe wait a minute, how do you all feel about internet safety?

In this world nobody is perfect in the same way Internet is also not safe. Daily there are 1.25 Billion people using this Internet, but till now we are unable to make it safe. If would be because of us or the Internet services. what ever it is Internet is not safe and i hope i will never be safe as long as it exists. You said that some people use there girl friends names as their password. My advice to them is not to use girlfriends names as passwords. I advice them to use some numbers or special characters for their passwords.

i have caught many with their cell phone number.

here is one great joke friends.
and to say this is also the truth.
many people have their girlfriends name as password which is easy to guess by their frnds.
so take care when u use ur gf's name as pass.

yea, i never understand why people use there girl friends or boyfriends name i never use my real name when i sign in to a site, im very leery about the net and i try to avoid putting much personal info when ever a site ask for to much personal info i get really sceptical about the site.

i think the most important problem wioth internet security is that people are ignorant about the security measures that one should take care off....having uptodate softwares,not sharing passwords and so on....

The internet lulls me into a false sense of security. I always feel safe when I am on here, but the truth is I am not safe. Especially if I do too much browsing and sign my email address up to too many things, that is when the danger starts.
I scrutinise everything that comes into my email and I scrutinise everything I go on and if I am in doubt, I chuck it out. I am just really careful what I do these days.
