Today is Work Like a Dog Day!
I am a "Dog" and I this is the only time I like being referred to as a dog. LOL
I have always been gung-ho when it comes to work, that is why I can't stand to see slackers in the workforce. You are being paid to do your job, so do it. Now I understand that every job has their downtime, and you can slack off a little during these times. But if there is work to be done, DO IT!!!!!
Work Like a Dog Day honors and recognizes the hardest working among us.
Some people skate by, doing as little as possible. Others, do only what they have to. Others still work like a dog. While work is to be done, they dig in relentlessly. They seldom take a break until the task is completed.
We want to make sure to differentiate between "Work-A-Holics" and those who "Work Like a Dog". Work-A-Holics are always working, even though they may not be working hard. Those who work like a dog, work very hard while they are working. But, they do not work all of the time.
Today is a day to show appreciation for those who carry more than their load, and work like a dog. You can also honor them by working like a dog today.

I am a very hard worker also. My husband and I are both working seven days a week to make ends meet right now also and to try to get some of our bills paid off also. I always write me a daily list also of things that I want to get done for the day. I multitask to make sure to get to alot of them daily. I am used to hard work and nothing less.

Well, I am not sure how others would classify my work. I like to think that I "work like a dog" each day that I enter the office. I don't think I'm a work-a-holic as I love my time off. Plus, I work only 2 or 3 days weekly.
I, too, have difficulty with "slackers" and have worked with many people who fall in to this category. I found the best way to deal with them is to just keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing and not focus too much on their poor or lack of performance.
Glad I don't have to supervise people anymore. Whew, that can get tiresome if you don't have a hard-working group.
