There is so much being talked about pollution, global warming and the necessity to grow trees. Have you ever felt responsible to grow a tree.
When i look back i myself have not done so. So i need to go back home and plant one today. Whats your opinion? Isn't it our responsibility?

I'm not sure if I felt responsible for doing it. I just did it because I thought it was a good thing to do under the circumstances. I have planted a few trees in my yard. Thi sis an excellent activity to do with my children. Not just because of the environmental reasons, but also to to teach the kids about plant biology, and also to get them out of the house and away from the TV.
The main reason I planted the trees is because they help with air quality in the urban areas. While they do help with global warming, that is a more monor side benefit. It has been estimated that, even if we were to plant the entire surface of the earth with trees, it would only reduce the effects of global warming by less than 10%. Any contribution is good, but in an urban environment, the main reason to have trees is for removing air pollution, and to provide habitat for animals.
