Pure Packrat

There's so much stuff in my bag, I couldn't stand the idea of doing a little inventory. I generally change bags each day to go with whatever I'm wearing. If I go from a bigger bag to a smaller one, some things are left in the bigger one, so if I can't find something, I have to look in all the other bags to find it. I counted 100 (!) bags when I gave up the count! That's nuts! I had no idea, and then I read your post and started counting. Now I'm motivated to check them all and gather up things left behind, many of which will, I'm sure, end up in the trash. If any of the bags are just no for me anymore, Goodwill will get them. A friend gave me a bag last year that's one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. I used it once when I was going to lunch with her, and it was actually an embarrassment, so it's going to be the first one in the Goodwill box! The school where I teach has gone to uniforms this year, so I'll only be using a couple of them. Well, OK, more than a couple. Anyway, after a while, I know I won't be able to stand the same things again and again, and I'll go back to matching the bag with outfits I like. Sorry, Goodwill; you're only getting the ones I don't like. Most of the bags are pretty big, because I always think I might need this or that some time. I carry extra school supplies, extra makeup, whatever nail polish I have on so I can touch up if necessary, and there are some things I have to admit I don't really recognize. This is really an eye-opener!

I'm exactly the same way. my friends always say I have a mary poppins purse because of some of the things that i pull out of it. If I listed everything that was in my purse then i'd be on her forever! The odd things I carry in my purse is a mesuring tape, Directions to god knows where, Old photocopies of Lotto tickets, my camera and then all the normal stuff woman carry, wallet, tampons, makeup and so forth. I go through a purse every 3 months! I end up forcing it shut and the zipper breaks! I once even had a bottle of frabreeze in my purse! I don't know how I fit that in but I did! I'm 100% Packrat!

In my purse I have as follows: change $45 in cash 2 emergency credit cards 2 photo IDs (1 being for driving) My social security card (needed it for applying for something so I should put that somewhere safer) Pen/pencil Tampons Not too much, I like to have a very functional, easy to use purse haha.
