I expected this to be a great movie and really was expecting more while watching it. The movie stars Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, who have cancer and meet in a hospital room. One is a billionaire and the other a mechanic, who take that trip around the world that many of us would enjoy doing soon.
The bucket list is like we all have thought about it things we would like to do while we are able to do them. I know after watching the movie many things were added to my list that they did on their adventures including that Shelby Mustang on the racetrack. I use to drive really fast in my youth and miss the fun of a great car.
I laughed and cried during this movie and recommend watching it for these two great actors performances, as the other people really didn't get good lines in my opinion. I'll suggest renting it, as it isn't going on the movie shelf.
I felt bad for Sean Hayes, as he is a funny actor, but in this movie its clear that his role isn't important and a clear waste of his time. I was expecting better lines for him. This is the reason its not going on my shelf, as a great movie gives great lines to everyone like the recently reviewed The Dark Knight.

Hi Fish,
I was surprise to see Sean Hayes, too bad he was not cast as his orginal character. I think it would have made the movie a bit more funny. I didn't finish watching it, all I know it that both die and it was sad. that's the comment of my husband, he also said that It was kinda of slow. Have you seen JUNO, now this is a funny movie, she had me laughing. It's a good movie.

I have seen 27 Dresses. It didn't have a good plot in my opinion. The older movie you mentioned I have already viewed.

I really must say I liked this film, I thought it was brilliant and thought provoking. Since setting up an online DVD store (UK based) I have been watching increasing amounts of movies and this is one of the best I have seen in a while.
It really makes you think when you see Morgan Freemans charactor turn down an obviously very attractive woman even though his wife would never know and he was about to die any way, I thought that was great considering how freely people seem to forget their commitments to their partners these days.
It has some pretty subtle humour, some humour that is built up, some exasperating moments where you think you know whats best for them and some moments of sadness, I have rarely been so happy and so sad in one film.

I do agree Morgan Freeman really showed us people can be faithful to their spouse. Thanks for the reply.

I got to watch this movie a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it from start to finish, and plan to get a copy of the movie when I can. I don't know who Sean Hayes is, but if he's the guy that was Jack Nicholson's assistant, then yeah, I feel he gave a good performance as well. What I really liked about this movie is that for once Nicholson was able to do an unselfish thing and make it worth his while. LOVED it, I think anyone who has goals should see it. Or anyone looking for some.

I just saw the Bucket List last week. I thought it was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed the perfomances and the exotic locales, but it didnt make me laugh or cry or anything like that. It might have been better in the theatre. I saw it at home and I think it missed soemthing on the small screen.

The story of The Bucket List is just awesome, I loved watching it, both the characters played by Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson were great.
This is one of those movies which I can watch it again and again with getting bored.....

Even though there are those that wouldn't like it cause it about dying but the point of it is the part that makes it good. Two different men from different sides of the tracks become friends. When they were both in need of someone. It also makes you realize that life is a special thing and to take care of it and the ones around you. The one thing that was really cool though. Even though Jack was mean to his assistant, he was also touched by there relationship. He made sure that they were both placed on the mountain together. That was really good. Have a good one.

That's disappointing, I had expected it to be a really good movie. Glad I missed it in the theaters but I'll watch it when it comes to cable.

I watched this movie too, I thought it was alright, it was kinda slow in some places, and it was sad, and funny. Yeah, it would of been funny if Sean Hayes could of played his other character in it. There are some things I would like to do too before I go. Theres another movie I want to see, some people are talking about Batman, but I would like to see the new Mummy movie. I have a friend that went and seen it and he said it was good, and I didn't expect him to go see a movie like that, I didn't think he would be interested in it. Have a good day

Good day....Morgan freeman and Jack Nicholson had chemistry. It was a hit for those two and we can't expect less from two oscar winners. I'm just glad I've watch it and loved that movie. One of th classic in my book.

"I love the smell of chemo in the morning..." this was one of the line (that made me laugh) of Edward Cole played by Jack Nicholson. An excelent movie and a MUST SEE for everyone. It teaches a tough lesson of life.
And about the other one, the dark knight, hmm not quite in the same genre, I must tell you that in my opinion is prolly the best batman movie ever made.
Best regards,
octavian
