Best Way to Make Beaded Earrings?

I finally found some nylon fishhooks for earrings. So I bought some beads in my excitement to make some cool new earrings. I used to make beaded earrings and I always just tied fishing line to hold the beads in place. Is this the best way? Occasionally they would fall apart and I'm kind of worried about that. But maybe I just wasn't as good at tying knots before. So how do you make your beaded earrings? Willing to share any tips with me?

the best thing is to get actual beading thread or beading wire and crimp beads to make your earrings - they will last longer

I bought some nylon beading thread at the craft store, so I'm hoping that works nicely. I'll have to look for wire, I might do better using wire actually. What are crimp beads?

Crimp beads are what you use to afix beading wire so it doesn't come lose (tho sometimes it still does.) http://jewelrymaking.about.com/library/weekly/aa022202.htm

For earrings, I use wires. I dont know what they call it but the wires I use are really flexible and you can twirl it very easily by using pliers. Try looking at craft shops, they sell lots of stuff you can use. I hope you can make lots of them. Its really nice making them.

That sounds like a good idea, thanks! I will look for wire like that.
