Guylian Chocolate Sea Shells

So my fellow chocolate lovers, have any of you had the pleasure of tasting Guylian's Chocolate Sea Shells? Yesterday at the grocery store in one of the biggest malls here (in Trinidad) they were giving samples of this chocolate. I have to admit, I love chocolate so I went and got myself a sample. They gave me three of these sea shell shaped chocolates and I always see them in candy shops a few of the larger grocery stores. They are about $10-11USD a box but oh my gosh. I would have to say so worth the price! The shells are marbled with white chocolate and/or milk chocolate or Dark Beligian chocolate and the inside is filled with a creamy nougat like praline filling. These are perfect for special occasions or holidays. I already plan to buy a box for the Christmas holidays this year. So have you ever had Guylian Chocolate Sea Shells before? Did you like it or not? Are you going to try them if you haven't already did so?

I tried these years ago at a wedding shower. The wedding and shower had a beach theme so they had real shells and these chocolate shells scattered on the tables. Not only were they beautiful they were very tasty. I like dark chocolate the best.

Hi brimia, These chocolates just look so pretty the first thought that came to my mind were Christmas present, anniversary gift or weeding favours. That wedding sounds lovely! I have a co-worker who is going to get married on the beach later this year. I don't know if she knows about these but I should tell her, she might like the idea.

I think I may have tried them. You make a very convincing case for them. I've seen them in the store before. i think that Costco carries them. I think you can get them at World Market also. I do really love chocolate especailly good choclolate. They come in a very attractive little package and I think they would make an excellent Christmas present.

Nomnomnomnomnom! I LOVE those delightful little chocolate shells. My dad used to get me and my mother a box on our birthday's, and it was always a great treat. They're not all that cheap, but I do like to get a box and savor it for a few weeks. Now that my parents are divorced, I get my mom a box for her birthday instead.

Hi fluff, You guys must have loved birthdays alot then! I agree, they are expensive like wow but I don't know if those chocolates would make it through a week with me around. It's nice that you still buy them for your mum!

You are so lucky, they never give away guylian samples in any supermarkets where i live! I would go to the sample counter many times in different disguises! They are quite pricey but great for a present or even just a tuesday! They used to make a strawberry flavoured box which was delicious, does anyone know if it's still available or have they discontinued them?

How lucky you and your husband were! I was actually thinking that they would make nice Christmas presents or really for an anniversary or wedding celebration. I actually converted my currency to USD and it came to that price. But in local currency it seems really steep. Come to think of it I can use some myLot earnings to by a box. Glad you enjoyed them as much as I did!
