eyelashas

i know for camel , the long lashes is to protect their open eyes during sand storm in the dessert. actually for the human it is the same .. when we close our eyes especially , it avoid the small dust from reaching the eye lips which are very sensitive and may itch .. this is only my opinion not proven, the camel one i learned from document

Eyelashes actually help to keep stuff out of the eyes even if they don't always work. Otherwise, there is really no use for them except like you said, enhancing beauty. Very good question. :)

eye lashes are for protecting the eyes from dust and scaly particles it some times work like a grilled door to houses strong and protect form the entry of foreign particles

I think its for the protection of the eyes. To keep thing out of them when falling down. Because obviously the eyelashes are of no use when things fall towards us.
