how did he proposed?

After posting a discussion about the engagement ring, I suddenly had a flash back of the day my husband proposed. We were together for 9 long years then. I've been waiting for it for so long. Too long that its causing conflicts between us. A year before the proposal, I asked him "what are we waiting for, we should get married". He just replied " just give me a little more time". After that talk, I gave up and sadly accept that Im not getting married in the next 5 yrs. So his proposal was totally unexpected. We usually go out on weekends coz we're both working MOn-Fri. September 2003,we went to the place where we met but still I didnt suspect anything at all. It was getting a little dark and with the faint background of the city, we just hold hands. He said "This is where we met 9 yrs ago" and I replied " yeah, 9 yrs ago and we really ought to move on, we should either move on together or move on apart." And then he said, "we should move on together" and then he took a shiny box out from his pocket and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes....The proposal was nothing fancy but its sweet, memorable and it marked the start of a new chapter of our lives together. how about you, how did he proposed? or for the guys out there, how did you propose/ how do you plan to propose?
