Still Matchmaking?

I have a friend whose brother is thirty four years old and still single. Now the whole family's worried about his current status. They want him to get married as soon as possible. Now, they've asked some people to help look for a wife for him. Matchmaking is still a very common thing in their culture. Matchmakers can even make lots of money by arranging couples to get together. There are also people who would seek the services of the matchmakers to help them look for their partners. How am I involved in this? Well, I was asked if I can recommend somebody for my friend's brother but I am very hesitant to do so. I mean, I don't have anything against that guy but I'd feel responsible for whatever might happen. What if the woman does something unbecoming or similar things. What do you think? Is matchmaking still being done in your place?

First of all I wouldn't be into this kind of matchmaking if the person did not want to match make in the first place haha. Maybe he just wants to stay single. I also still have this belief that you don't go around searching for love because it's Love that finds you.

Hi diutay,
Here in the U.K we don't have arranged marriage, but there are many different culture living here that some sends their daughter or son back to their own country for the marriage. I don't think its right though.
