Does anyone know of a good high yield saving account? One that doesn't have a monthly fee or a high minimum balance. I am just trying to find a good account to have to save money in because right now I have a checking account and it doesn't earn me any interest and thats what I would like to have because I am saving up to move out on my own.

Try HSBC Direct. I can't remember what the opening balance was, but it wasn't much. They have good rates and no fees.

I honestly don't think there anythink like that any more. Banks are charging for everything, and giving virtually no interest at all.

Hi, I would check out Capital One Bank. They have some offers for different savings and money market accounts, what I like about this bank is that you can link them to your existing bank account and transfer free back and forth. http://www.capitalone.com/ Good luck.
