How to make my kitten nicer

I got a kitten a couple of weeks ago. He can be sweet sometimes, but others he likes to bite and scratch and jump out at you. How can I make him a little nicer?

You can't tame a cat right away.You have to give them a schedule for eating and a time for play.Some old folks told me that you also have to spit or drop some of the owners saliva to the mouth of a kitten (sounds gross and yucky but I guess it's true.
)I tried doing that and my cats are close to me.But the trick is that call their name constantly so that the kitten will recognize his name and feed him on time or at least when a kitten make a sweet gesture at you give him a treat.Rub his forehead and scratch his chin and he'll love it.
