Does mylot need a "edit post" button - with a little difference?

Mylot would probably never add an "Edit post" option for security features.
But I think they can add the feature where people cannot edit their post but simply add on something for a clarification. So at the end of the original post there is something like "Edited to add: blah.... blah... blah"
This would be useful for major typos and errors that we commonly make. Just adding this note would help clarify. There is no need to edit the original wordings.
What do you feel about this?

That's the exact type of 'edit' button I have suggested in the past! I think it would be a good thing. I have been a member of a forum where total editing was allowed and things could get very ugly! People you get into a "he said, she said" fight and people would start changing what they had said to make later responders look stupid or mean. It was awful and a lot of trouble was caused by it.
Another forum only had the "edited to add:..." function and things worked out much better. They would even include a time stamp for when the editing took place so if there was any trouble, there would at least be proof of when things were said.
