have you ever pressed the wrong button without realizing it sooner?

Ok, what inspired this is my lack of attention. Earlier, I got this message for a ref exchange. So I was excited, and hurried to open up the PTC site so I can get the referral link, then I got to highlight it and press ctrl+c like mad to be sure that I get the link...or am I really sure what I'm pressing on? Not realizing it sooner, I just thought of it while doing it..."Wait, the C is not that far from the ctrl button, why am I having such a hard time..." and that's when I realized...I WAS PRESSING THE CTRL+N!!! So what happened next is like being sent to a time-space warp dimension of uber slow proportions. I think I pressed that more than ten times, initiating ten windows of firefox, each with four homepage tabs in them, running in a computer with just 256mb of ram...talk about not thinking clearly. So have anyone ever done something like this without realizing the first time that you're pressing on a wrong button?
