I planted some Basil, Thyme, Sage, and Oregano and they are all doing very nicely. I use these in dried form all the time, but I was wondering if any myLotters have any good ideas for using them FRESH. Got an idea you want to share with me? Please?

I just made brushcetta last weekend with my fresh basil from the garden. I think that the fresh basil made it very delicious. I liked it very much. What about getting tomatoes and making spaghetti sauce with the rest of these ingredients, You could also use them to spice a chicken. Chicken with all those ingredients mixed up and applied on top would be excellent.

When herds are dried the flavors are intensified. So if you want to use them fresh you just use twice as much. If a recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of dried Basel you use 4 if the fresh. Fresh sage and thyme goes great with roasted chicken and stuffing.
