I've been looking for a job. I'm bright, have worked in a number of areas, but have gotten no callbacks. Target outright rejected me. I think its because of those assessment tests they give you. It was so discouraging! But on Friday morning, I decided to follow up on a website I looked up the night before. I had found a new website to look for jobs, and saw on working at Hot Topic part time as a manager. I bookmarked it, and checked it the next morning. I had to search again from the main page...in oh, I wonder what would pop up? I haven't worked in retail since 1991 or 1992. But I saw the local Sears was hiring. I applied, taking three tries to finally finish it. I was gritting my teeth after I finished--would I get some reinforcement? I took their assessment, panic nearly paralyzing me--ack! And then the page popped up.....
I have an interview on Wednesday! FINALLY! Wish me luck!
The ironic part of the entire thing? Its for the hardware department. My first three boyfriends all worked in THAT department!

This is my first interview...naybe the tide's changing? I tried a new site...www.allretailjobs.com, put in my search criteria and got offered to interview at Sears the same day--try there. Good luck--I know how disheartening it is!

You could say that! Actually, that's going back to 1987, 1988 & 1989...YIKES! 
(high school boys). But wait, it gets even funnier (bizarre)...my ex-father-in-law worked for a different Sears store (but same department). Oh, the irony! Thanks--I was getting nervous that I was too smart for my own good!

I am sorry to learn that you have been unemployed since April. I am also sorry that you have had a difficult time looking for a job. Well, you will be having your interview soon. You make sure that you do well in the interview. I do hope that you will be able to land on a job. Do not worry much about it. Just do your best and I am sure you will make it! Do not worry much about having your first three boyfriends in that department. The work is more important than thinking about those guys. Good luck!

I'm feeling pretty good about the interview--it's about time! I just found it so ironic--the first is from over 20 years ago, and the other two about 20 years ago next month...quite scary! But I'm taking as that as a good omen...I need to work! I can figure out hardware--heck, my family helped build a house together! Thanks for the good wishes!
