Looks like tropical storm Fay is headed right for Florida. WE had a semi- quiet year last year. The gas stations already have lines out to the road, and the grocery stores are packed. I have been through many Hurricanes here in Florida my 25 years. I have left for 2 of them the most recent was in 2004 I forget the name of the storm but I do remember it was a back to back hurricane that year. We are not financially prepared this year for the TS, being our paycheck comes after the storm. How is everyone else? Are you prepared? We are putting the shutters up Tomorrow.. Anyone else doing that? Share your opinion on TS and Hurricanes..

well how did everyone do through ts fay? I live just east of Gainesville,Fl. and we are now at the end of it,thank god! It was worse up this way than what they were saying on the local stations, but the weather channel was faily accurate. We got about 6 inches of rain and probably 35 MPH winds. We lost all the skirting on our modular home and sprung 4 leaks in the roof. I sure hope FEMA helps everyone out again this year. I heard this morning that there were 3 more storms that are being watch. I think it is hurricane season in Florida. These things scare me. How is everyone doing? It was so sad all the lives that were lost, I think 5 total?

there was a total of 7 lives lost so far with Fay. One was a drowning in Daytona. We did pretty well, we had gust at about 50+, a lot of rain but my area didn't flood, about 15 minutes north of us flooded on some streets. There were a lot of limbs down and both of my neighbors lost their canopies, half of the town lost power for like a hour but we were fortunate not to. I live in Edgewater which is semi small. It does look like it will be productive this year. We put up the shutters but we move in October and we will not have shutters at that house which kinda sux..Glad you and yours are ok. Thank you for responding..
