lately i cant find work. i have put in lots of resumes and applications and have called all over at different temporary agencies as well as seperate companies. I guess the economy is really so or i must be doing something really wrong. I dont get it. i have an associates degree in business administration in applied sciences and i just seem not to get anywhere with this degree. all the jobs i have been taken are either temp jobs or jobs that wind up being closed or jobs that get closed off due to the governer. i just dont understand what i am doing wrong. i still have to pay off my degree and still have college debt. i just got married within a year and half ago and seem to get deeper and deeper in debt without a job. i just dont know what to do anymore. my husband really doesnt make enough to live on for both of us and pay off our debt to and its just not fair to him. i tried to get a part time job but it just didnt work out cause hours changed on me and we only have one car thus i couldnt make my husband wait hours and hours for me to pick him up. its just not right. so i need some advice. i have been going on interviews and have been applying to places that are like an hour and a half away but no luck. with the price of gas and me being in the middle of no where land its hard to find work. what should i do? we just moved here a year ago so we could be closer to his job. any advice?

Hi firebirdlizant, I was also on a contract/temp job when I first graduated considering the lack of working experience. The economy was bad and I have been jobless for months after the graduation, maybe I was too choosy and applied for those well-known multinational companies (MNC) thinking of the bright prospect in big companies.
To my surprise none of the company ever bother to look at my resume, I called and they just said "we do not have any job openings right now, will keep your resume in view", or "the job have been taken"...bla bla...I understand your frustration if being turned down many times. Then one day, I was asked for my first interview in an MNC, I went for it even though it was just a temp position. I got converted to permanent after being with them for 1 year plus.
So, I think you should give some temp job a try and you might get what you want so long as you work hard and performed well.

thanks for the advice. I have been dealing with temp agencies they have just been so two faces and saying they have nothing but the internet says differently. its just crazy. i went out of my way to conneticuit last week for an interview and called and told them i am availble immediately and was told they have nothing but its like why did they tell me they did have things before i went there. it was a waste of gas and time feels like. it is frusterating and i have bills piling up and oh i can go on and on but sorry im sure you dont want to hear it. lol.
well thanks for the advice i will stick with it trying all over keeping up with them im sure like you said eventually something will come up till then its just so hard. Thanks again for the talk i appreciate it.
