There's the tv series, the book correcting/using all the things that didn't come out right or couldn't be done on the bbc's budget - well three versions of the book, the origanal UK edition, the US version which Neil Gaman tweaked a bit, adding some extra material, and the last (afaik) edition which is like a directors cut version based on both previous texts.) and the graphic novel adaption.
Watched and loved the tv series when it was first shown, discovered the "directors cut" edition of the book two years ago and fell in love with it again, and have just bought and read the graphic novel - I think all versions are good in their own way, the book is the closest to Gamen's vision, the tv series had some problems - some of the suposed to be street kids got stick at the time in fantasy/sci-fi mags for looking too posh / "Rada darling" and they had troble with the beast.
The graphic novel has stunning artwork - some of the characters are completly reimagined - massive shock seing the Angel Islington looking nothing like Peter Capaldi (shame they cut the Lucifer was an Angel line) and Croup is now like Gary Oldman in Bram Stokers's Dracula, looking as cool as anything with the hat & glasses.
