To be honest I have been out of my home country for around three years or so now and don't really keep track of the political standings or events in my home country at all. Sure I check news sites from time to time and pick up the ocassional political story now and then; but aside from this I have been pretty slack! I should care more to be honest but I just get so caught up in everything else! I actually seem to know more about the US election at the moment than I do about the Australian elections held almost a year ago! It just doesn't make the news here in Egypt.....

Nah. I dont really care about my country's politics. I dont know about other places but i find that politics here sucks. They're just power-hungry rich people who want to keep their positions so they dont get affected by the economy.

carefully monitor? no..but i do tend to watch at least 1 political news show a day or at the very least every couple of days.
but in all honesty, i am frustrated, confused, distrustful and just plain downright annoyed at the whole thing of late. i dont know who or what to believe, who to trust (if any of them are trustable..and that doesnt have good track record does it?)
all i know is that something has got to change for the BETTER! not just a toothpaste spackle on the whole in the wall..a full blown tear out the wall and put a new one in, type of change lol!

I use to not care but I do now. It's important to keep up with politics, even though all politicians seem to be crooked and probably are, because the less you know about what's going on in the government the easier it is for those crooked politicians to steal you rights and freedoms away. When the day comes that you wake up and find you don't have as many freedoms as you once did, then it's too late. And you have no one to blame but yourself.
