Hi Mylot Co-Users and Friends I am just wondering what you have as a rule for your dog/dogs or if you have any rules as far as the furniture goes. Catch ya later pretty_babe

the house rule in my home is No Dogs on the couches or the beds! especially during the summer months when we are constantly fighting fleas and ticks coming with them from the backyard. and shedding, one of ours has long white hair and he sheds something fierce! you'd end up with a face full of hair cause he is a notorious pillow thief lol! one of my family members is ok with the dogs, until she gets a face full of hair, then she starts having runny nose and itchy eyes. and since the dogs cant be on her bed..we just found it easier to rule out all the beds or couches, that way there is no confusion for them..cause when she is on the couch, they cant be on there and get shooed off..and they dont understand why the rules changed from one minute to the next. so its just better all around to keep them off of everything. besides, they both have comfy well padded beds! spoiled little goobers lol!

Hi CinderInMySoul. Same with our house but it has not changed from season to season with my dog. The Cat still gets up but the Dog has got his Basket, if he is somewhere else like my Sisters with Me and them then it is up to the person who the house belongs to. Catch ya later pretty_babe

I am a total dog person, if I had my say, my dog would be allowed everywhere. My husband was raised in a house where the dog lived in the back yard and didn't come in the house unless it was snowing or sleeting. When we got our current dog (as I can not live in a house without a dog) she wasn't allowed on the bed or sofa. She has her own pillows on the floor, and when it's bedtime at night, hubby covers her up with a blanket and tucks her in. (This, coming from the man who used to say "She's just a dog.") We've had her three years, and now hubby will even call her in the bed every once in a while to snuggle, but she doesn't sleep there every night. In fact, being a lab, she snuggles for a while, then I get hot and tell her to go sleep in her own bed. Although when hubby is deployed, she DOES sleep in the bed, usually in his spot. No matter who saved her, she is definitely *HIS* dog. She is *STILL* not allowed on the sofas......and she knows it.......and only does it when we're not home. How do we know this? When we pull up in front of our house, we can see her stand up and stretch before jumping off and greeting us at the front door.

Hi auntiedis. Thanks for your response. I am a dog person and a bird person too more than what I am a cat or whatever it is, but the rule is the rule is where I live is he does not get on the furniture and there is no changing it at all. Catch ya later pretty_babe

our dogs are allowed on the Sofas, as they're wonderful to cuddle up with.

Hi Galena. Thanks for your responses. My Dog is not allowed to be on furniture cos he likes to reck things instead of getting comfy and cuddling up to us. Catch ya later pretty_babe
