I've had this burning desire to visit Graceland since I'm a huge Elvis fan. We live about 5 hours away and was wondering if the trip is really worth it. Have you been to Graceland? Any other exciting activities or spots around that part of the country? Thanks in advance for your response.

I have been to Graceland and cried at Elvis's grave. There is also a museum there with his planes etc...... but it's been a long time since I visited. I would never regret going...it was well worth my time!

Hi carolbee, I am an Elvis fan and I would have love to visit Graceland and if I lived 5 hour from Graceland I would go no matter what. Glastonbuty in Somerset is quite famous for open air concert but I love it there without the noise of the concert and I have gone there for the peace and quiet and will be going again next year so that is the ony place I ove to visit. I have not but would love to go one day. My brother and sister in law took my mother years ago and she loved it, they didn't take the tour though I don't think. My youngest daughter and her husband went before and took the tour of Graceland and she loved it and she plans to go back again another time. Her husband is not a big fan of Elvis so she said next time she might let him do something else while she takes the tour. hahaha My mother got to go to the Grand Old Opry while in Tennessee also.

I've only been to Tennessee once. Was a kid and don't remember much except we were in Chatanooga and rode a tram down the side of a mountain. Thanks for responding. I do want to get to Graceland one day.

I have been to Tennessee, but haven't been to Graceland. I visited the Smoky Mountain side of the State. That was very impressive too.

It is a pretty state and would love to return one day. Was in Chatanooga many years ago with my father. Had my husband talked into taking me and then something came up and we couldn't go. Thanks for responding.

I havent visited Graceland. I've seen things about it on TV. I wouldnt go out of the way to visit it, but if I was in the area and had time I would go there. I'm not that huge of an Elvis fan so it's not really that important to me. I know some people love Elvis so I think going to Graceland is more for them.
