windows has many bad reviews compared to MAC platforms. even the mobile phones powered by windows has bad reviews. the most common bad review for windows is that it is unstable and has compatibility issues. on the other side, MAC is more stable but more expensive because of its exclusive hardwares. the mac os snow leopard will run in 64-bit to accomodate enormous amounts of memory being added in modern PC's.

I fully agree with what you say jamesnogra. I use both so I know them quite well. I started with Windows though, so getting started on Mac was a totally new experience. However, there's been no irritating crashes or error pop-ups so far. But Mac loses Windows in that there are not as wide a variety of programs as Windows. Hopefully, with more interests in Apple stuff, we'll get more 3rd party Mac programs soon. The Windows Mobile have evolved quite well though, but only with the required hardware and I think that is quite a big problem for Windows. Windows, both mobile and PC, develops the software and allows the manufacturer to decide on the configuration. Hence, more often then not, manufacturers come out with less than optimal configurations to cut costs and sell more devices. Apple has more control over this since it does both hardware and software. It develops its software in such a way that its hardware is able to support it fully. Hence there is not as much, if any, lag compared to a Windows PC. Of course, the software programming plays a part with the Mac somehow just being better with its stability. Now that Apple is fast gaining popularity and Microsoft is starting to realise that its losing its lead, the years ahead will be an interesting one as both giants fight out on two of the hottest ptoducts around: computers and mobile phones. 2010 will just be the beginning of whats gonna happen thats soon gonna revolutionise two IT gadgets we use the most. Microsoft will most probably stay in the lead with Win7 but Mac Snow Leopard is going to win more than just some new fans. Things are gonna start getting hot in 2010!
