Mexican street style corn

There was a recipe in the Boston Globe Magazine for Mexican Street Style Grilled Corn. I tried it and it was wonderful! It calls for "crema" and queso fresco". I used crema, but you can use sour cream. For the cheese I used Mexican style grated cheese, because we can't get queso fresco up here. Did anyone else try it?

Nope, I've never tried it, but it sounds pretty good. I have a friend who went down to Mexico and lived there for a few months and she'd gotten some corn that sounds similar to that from a vendor, but she said it had something like mayo on it...anywho, she got violently ill from it and had to go to the doc down there and get a shot. I'm sure that nobody will get ill from the recipe that you'd tried, but I thought I'd put my two cents in because I'd never heard of anything similar to that kind of corn before.
