yay! this is a happy day for me, a milestone in svetlana's life! this morning, after we finished bathing her and after she took her morning nap, she woke up very alive, started making sounds (because she is starting to discover her own voice) and did what she normally does these past few days, that is, try to roll over.
and what do you know. today, for the first time, SHE DID IT! she's turning four this september 1, and i was worried that she might not be able to learn how to rollover because she has such chubby thighs which prevents her from fully rolling over. i know she felt happy too, and amazed with herself, the first time she rolled over, because she looked at me with those big round eyes seeming to say "mommy, i did it!".
after lying her on her back again, she rolled over four more times, and consequently had to yawn like there's no tomorrow, indicating she's tired and wants to sleep. she's sleeping right now, with a little smile on her face, as if she knows she had just done something worth taking note of.
i am happy today because my daughter made me very very mom:)

Congratulations on Svet! I totally forgot about rolling over, Chico's not doing it yet, he is usually on the stroller or propped up if on the bed, he does not have yet the opportunity to try doing so. Tomorrow I'll let him stay on the bed more to see. I forgot when his older siblings did it too. As for Svet, even with those chubby cheeks ha! Congrats baby! kudos!

yes, you have to lie chico down on a flat but soft surface so that he can start turning sideways and ultimately roll over. just be careful to stay with him while he is "practicing" so that when he DOES rolls over, you'd be there to arrange his arms (they tend to not know how to brace their little bodies at the start)
but what am i doing saying this to you. you have three kids already! you are the expert on this matter. hahaha!

Thank you for sharing to us such a wonderful story. I am so happy for you and your baby. I am sure that you are very proud of that achievement. You must really be a great mom to have such a great baby. I hope that in the days to come, she would be able to do more things that would definitely make you very proud and happy. If she does, tell us about it.

Hi,nice to meet you.
Congratulation, and very happy to heard that you baby can now row over. I can understand your feeling. Because i also got my baby niece, she is just 5 months. She just stared to row over when she was just 4 months+. I felt very happy when she success to do it. I very love my niece and treat her as my daughter. She make feel so sweet when she smiling to me. By the way , since you daughter now can row over, you need to more attention on her to make sure she not fall down from rolling over. It is very glad to be a mum. Have a nice day and happy my lotting! =)
