Why do I have dizzy spells?

I get dizzy spells every day. A lot of the times my vision will blurr, sometimes everything goes black for a minute. I hate it. Sometimes it happens when I stand up, but other times it happens for no apparent reason. I think I might have diabetes because I have less dizzy spells on days that I eat more. Whenever I start feeling dizzy I usually try to eat something sugary and it seems to help, but I'm not sure if that is the cause. All I know is that I hate it and I just wish I knew how to stop it. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Hi
I think you need medication and complete medical checkup. If you are anemic then also sometimes you feel dizzy.I donot think it has any connection with diabetes but it would be better you get urself checked thoroughly.Sometimes it can be a symptom of brain seizure. So donot neglect ur condition.

Well diabetes runs in my family on both sides, so that's why I've been thinking it might be that. I have had these symptoms for years now. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

Well, sounds like you could benefit by being checked out from your Doctor. This could be Diabetes, Hypoglycemia, or something else. The best way for you to rule out things like this is to see a Health professional, explain to them what is going on, and then go from there. I would hate for you to be putting something off and it be nothing, or yet, be something worse making you Glad you went in.

it would be best to go to the doctors and have a complete test, if you are already on medication it could something you are already on, but you mus get it sorted out, it might be nothing to worry about but it could be serious that may just need medication.

All I can suggest is that you seek a professional opinion and visit the Doctor. This happens a lot to many people when they stand up too quickly but as you have pointed out it happens in other instances too. It could be circulatory related maybe? It is really important to see a Doctor and set your mind at ease. It is more than likely nothing but even so, it is better to catch something earlier rather than later. And even if there WAS something wrong here then it will probably be fixed easily. Good luck!

The options that come to mind are 1) low blood pressure 2) Inner ear problems 3) mild seizures. All would require doctors to diagnose and treat. :)

Well I am only asking this on here for a discussion topic, but it is a real problem. I already planned on going to the doctor before i wrote this, but I was just thinking about it when I was on the computer.

When you get dizzy, it means that your brain is not getting enough oxygen. This is a serious situation and you should consult a doctor. I hope you clear us this problem soon because it is more than just a minor irritation.

I think a doctor visit would help your questions. If you drive there can be a fatal accident. Dizzy spells are nothing to ignore. You'll learn how to stop them by visiting a doctor. There are many reasons for dizzy spells.

I would advise you to please go and seek medical help. This can happen to you while you are on the streets and this will be dangerous to you. Please my friend go and seek assistance. Sometimes we consider to hard and not knowing that we are doing this. This don't have to be diabetes it can be cause by high/low blood pressure. Remember your health is a must and should be taken serious. I wish you all the best.

You have read this 10 times now this is the 11th time seek professional help. Go see a doctor then you won't have to assume you will know and the doctor can help you treat this problem. And it is a problem a warning signal that something is wrong.
Give us an update after you seek professional help.

I think you need professional help. Go see a doctor. I get dizzy sometimes too, I tried eating sweets and it does help. But that does not mean I am diabetic.
I have figured out, that when I crave for sweets, my sugar level is low. but I dont get dizzy on those times. So I think it does not have any relations at all.
So go see a doctor. That will really help you.
