I have recently heard that if you eat certain herbs they will help you lose weight. 2 That were suggested to me were Rosemary and Thyme. Has anyone else heard this? How do you use the herbs for weightloss? Do you make teas with them? What other herbs can help with weightloss?

I have not heard those two specifically for weight loss. In fact, rosemary is good for your mental capacities.Helps protect you from Alzheimer's. Herbs, in general, help you lose weight by giving more flavor to your foods. You then do not use as much salt, and lose water weight. Some of them are diuretic, so again, you lose water weight. Other herbs and spices are helpful in balancing your blood sugar levels and insulin: cinnamon is the one that comes to my mind. Balanced insulin levels keep you from storing fat as readily. Other diet programs that they try to sell you frequently talk about thermogenics--creating heat, increasing metabolism. Cinnamon, cloves, ginger, hot peppers are frequently mentioned on those levels. Also, green or oolong tea is supposed to boost your metabolism. This is just the stuff that I have heard. I have not had any experience, other than I just like herbs and spices.

I never knew that Rosemary helped with your mental state. That is very ineresting! Thanks for letting me know that! I am making a mug of deacafe green tea right now! I have heard that Parsley is a diuretic, have you heard this as well? Insulin levels levels = Cinnamon.. I have heard this was for tummy aches. Thermogenics = Hot stuff. I honestly like the tastes of herbs as well, but if I can improve my health while using them,., all the better!

Mom did nutmeg for stomach aches. Ginger capsules are given for nausea, and sea sickness. Ginger ale is great, too. Vernor's is best. Yes, parsley is diuretic. Cloves and clove oil help toothaches. Sage is good for the stomach, and is good for the mental processes as well. You can probably learn a lot more, as you look around. Mint is good.

Think you need to be careful when using herbs and dieting. Here is an article I found that might be of some help and interest. I always drink lots of water and exercise when I can. It's safe. http://www.naturalweightlossweb.com/herbal-weight-loss.htm

I also called my trainner and she comfermed it as well .. as far as the herbs go .. she never heard of it but there are some veggies which will reduce the water in your body such as paragus.
