Ugly patterns in the magazines?

Does anyone else think that some of the patterns in the knitting mags are bizarre looking? I think sometimes "knitter's" has the most nutty looking things! Does anyone ever wear this stuff? How about the Vogue Knitting patterns by "Twinkle"?

Yes, I do think they're ugly! But I've thought that about most of them for the last few years. I wouldn't wear it and don't know anybody who would.
I'm guessing that a designer is pretty competitive, so that one would run out of ideas sooner or later and have to begin creating weird looking patterns.

well i do not suscribe to any knitting magazines but i have ocasionally look through a few of the many knitting magazines that there are about i think that they have some really pretty stuff in those magazines that i would not mind trying to knit for myself but also like you said they also have some strange and bizarre looking things in there i once saw this picture in a magazine of a viking helmet that someone had knitted i do not see how anyone would be brave enough to wear anything like that
