hi there, ever since i have my monthly period i never had a regular cycle just like the rest of the ladies out there. there are times when it comes late, times that i comes early and at time it is on time... hehhehehe. I used to visit an ob-gyne and i was told it is only normal. i heard that there is a supplement that would help in making my period regular, they said that it is folic acid and ferrusulfate. does this two medicines really help? are you regular or irregular with your monthly period?

There is a tea you can try it has raspberry leaf, nettle and a part of the strawberry plant (among other things). I know locally you can get it under the name Female Toner. It works very good.

I know Whole Foods has it as well as some of the chain grocery stores. I think walmart has it sometimes.
here is the company website, looks like you can buy directly from them

Are you trying to get pregnant or just trying ot get your cycle straight for your own sanity?

my period is horribly irregular. in fact, i can't actually predict when it will come. i'm quite used to it because it runs in my family. at least i get mine at least once every two months or once every month. when i first got my period, i didn't get it again after 6 months. there was also a time when i didn't get my period for 9 months! my mom said when she was young she would only get hers once a year! in january! and apparently my some of my cousins also go through the same thing. so for us, we're used to it. folic acid is iron right? i'm not sure, but my doctor prescribed Iberet (a big red pill). i never noticed if it worked though.... all i noticed is that the pill comes out white in the morning when i poo LOL

hehehe i was kind of baffled when my friend once told me that she hasn't had her period in three months and her dad is making her go to the ob-gyne. i was like "really? for us it's just normal!" btw, one thing that semi-regularized my period is exercise. i noticed when i regularly walked the treadmill (not too fast just fast enough and long enough for me to break into a healthy sweat) my period became semi-regular. but only semi lol

hi there...wow.. you got 210 posts.. in no time, you will be able to reach 500 posts... yipee! anyway, back to the topic at hand, i too, have an irregular menstrual cycle. if i am stressed out, it is delayed by not just a few days but weekds and sometims, i even skip periods... which is very irritating. what i found useful is to take feosol, this is an iron-therapy supplement. and it really helps replenish the iron in my blood. i am a night owl so i stay up all the time... and i need to take at least 7 capsules, one per night the week before my period and during my period.
before taking feosol, i usually get whoozy if i have my period... and felt so tired and could barely move. but taking it makes me feel better, even just a bit. and i dont feel like fainting.
hope this helps. hope you get well soon and feel better!
happy mylotting!!!!

If you're not trying to have a baby why don't you get try birth control pills or the depo provera shots? The Pill will regulate your menstrual cycle and, with the depo shot, you usually stop having a period altogether after a few shots. You get the shot every three months.

i used to take birth control pill like diane 35 but it affects me emotionally, especially if i am expecting my period. my mom told me i am so emotional and that i cry a lot without any reason, i get sensitive and irritated. i think it doesn't work for me. :( thanks for the post and the info. i think i should see my ob-gyne again soon. it was on time for this month though. :)
