Ok at some point in our lives we have been bitten! And I am not talking about those damn mosquitoes either
I am talking love bites or hickies or whatever you like to call them!
I remember fondly and I can laugh now but it was damn embarrassing at the time my manager called me aside and asked me if I had been bit by a low flying buzzard
I was sporting a big love bite and I couldn't hide it! He thought it was highly amusing and so did everyone else I got teased about it for weeks after!
So when you get a love bite or hickie how do you hide it?
Have you any funny stories about love bites? I would love to hear them
But watch out for low flying buzzards!!!

Even though its been years, I remember those days. We used to use excuses such as "I burned my neck with a curling iron". Or something even more stupid like "my sister and i were playing around". I never liked having hickies though. I thought it was like shouting to everyone that I was being intimate with someone. I never felt the need to do that and would protest VERY loudly when a boyfriend tried to leave buzzard burns on my neck.

I am not a big fan of "hickies" i think they look gross in all honesty.
about a year ago i was with a guy who gave me one, they can happen real fast without knowing, he knew how i felt about them but did it anyways..i was uber mad at him for it. Anyways i had to go to work that day it was right on my neck. I was working in a restaurant at the time so there i either had to have my hair short or i had to wear it up.
I tried covering it up with makeup but it was too dark and I'm white as heck, lol.
Of course i got teased by my co workers for it and my manger made me put a band aid over it...it was so big i had to use like three of them. The funny thing is is the band aid was a very vibrant blue and stuck out like a sore thumb. I looked at my boss and said "this will catch more peoples attention than the hickie itself". She told me to take off the band aid and that i could work in the kitchen instead of being server for the night.

Actually what we apply to hickies can actually make them look worse! It's like a big sign saying hey look at me my hickie is flashing red or purple! and you are right they don't look very nice and look like you've got some sort of disease or hideous contagious rash!

LOL i remember getting lots of those as a teenager and boy did I get teased big time by my family! i used to wear pretty little scarfs to try and hide them but had to wear them all the time so people didn't know why I was wearing them - make up just does NOT work! lol xxx

Hello dear wolfie. It is interesting to read this discussion of yours about love bites or hickies. Yeah, it is embarrassing to have the bites or hickies seen by someone else, so I hide it without being seen so that no one would laugh at me. lol. Enjoy your life, wolfie.

those were the days.i am laughing at the moment ,remembering how we use to put toothpaste on the love bites to bring out the bruising quickley,so hopefully they would be gone by monday morning when we had to go back to work.i use to pack on the foundation, but it never really covered them up,so i use to get a lot of teasing as well.cheers sue

Fortunately, the one my wife gave me last week is on my back (I was sleeping) so it doesn't show.

Sure it shows, and you don't know it's there. Remember when you went out without your shirt to smoke, last week? LOL

I like to give my husband hickies in odd places when he is asleep., and then see what happens the next day, in hot weather, when he goes out to smoke without putting a shirt on first. That happened to him a few days ago, and he said he was getting looks from people like "wow! Looks like the old guy GOT SOME!" haha I love doing that to him. tehehehe

I have had love bites (oh quite a while back when I was in college). Usually they have been on my upper arm or the neck. I remember hiding them by wearing a turtleneck or a long sleeved T-shirt. But back in college, it was a fad to show off your love bites so people never really used to bother hiding them. Lol.
