Question Regarding Post Count

Hello, everyone! I've been trying to test it out for a while now, but I'm not sure whether there might just be some technical glitch I'm unaware of, or whether this is the norm of the site and I'm too new to notice. Anyway, does MyLot not add posts made in reply to your own discussions? I mean, does your post count not increase when you're replying to a post made in the discussions you started? I was just wondering about it because while replying to people who helped me out with my laptop problems, I realized my post count isn't advancing. I don't mind that my post count remains static while I'm replying to other people, but I want to make sure that this is the case and not some problem with my computer/MyLot. Any help is appreciated! Thank you for reading this. :)

I have also wondered about that too and as I was clarified about it while not really putting much attention, we don't increase post count when we post on our own discussions. For other discussions, the initial post is counted and the rest that would follow, like on-going replies, are no longer counted. But, even if we don't see our post count increasing due to replying in our own discussions or continuing to reply on other discussions that we participated in, we still earn. (^_^ )

I didn't actually realize that our post don't increase after the first post. It was when I was thanking everyone at the Vista thread I started that I realized the post count wasn't changing. I tried posting on other threads, but it seems fine there. I wondered if maybe I did something wrong when I started the thread and that was the reason something not-normal was happening, haha! Anyway, thanks for the clarification! It makes it easier to know these things, hehe. :)

no i think the only time you get an increased post is when you make a post and i also was wondering if we get a post each time you respond to a post and you have to put in a tag for such post ,maybe there is a technical glitch about it like you said.

Thanks for the clarification, BYOLA! iskayz (above) said that everything was all right. Apparently, our post count only increases every first reponse: when we start a discussion, the first time we received is the only one counted; when we post on other people's discussions, only the first response is counted. All the following responses we give in response to the OP's reply never gets counted. I don't think tags increase post count, though. But then, I'm still new to this. I'll try to find out more, hehe. Thanks again!

Hi there! Nothings wrong with your laptop and everything is normal here in mylot. Your post increases whenever you respond to others discussion. When you start your own discussion your post count increases only once when you receive a response. And all other responses and your responses to the responses you received doesn't count. Hope that helps. Goodluck!

Thank you for the detailed response! It's nice to know that I don't have to fix anything, hehe. And I tried everything you said and paid attention this time (I'm kind of a scatter-brain, so I normally don't pay attention to these things) and saw that it was as you said. Thank you very much! :D
