Does the man always get blamed for "passing gas"?

This has happened to me on more than one occassion, and being a woman, I LOVE IT! I think it is so funny when I have very bad gas and any person that walks by will blame it on my husband!
The first time this happened to me, I was (I just realized this) in Vegas, with an old boy friend. I had gas and it was pretty raunchy, so we kinda walked away from the slot machine we were playing. My boyfriend happened to look back and see that a lady came up to the machine I was playing and made this horrible face (yeah, it was bad). I laughed so hard because I knew she was thinking "That poor girl has to put up with him all night long."
Then this past week - again in Vegas - I had really bad gas again! We were making one of those squished pennies in a machine and these guys walked by and said "Oh my gosh! That's horrible!" And I KNOW they thought it was my husband!!! I laughed so hard and my husband just rolled his eyes.
So, if you happen to walk into a noxious cloud of gas, do you automatically assume it's the man?

My friend and her husband where in a store that had crystal and such. She farted so loud that the crystal shook on the shelves. She got so embarrassed because her husband would not take the rap for it. He said to the clerk " She did it" Well my friend still has not forgiven her hubby for taking one for the team. She was so embarrassed it shook the shelves of the store.
She did not go back into the that store again. She wanted to buy something but missed out because he would not take the rap for her.

Oh, now that is funny! I don't mind taking the rap for it, and will normally own up to it. But when it's strangers that happen upon it I just let it go. When it's my friends and stuff I'll say "yeah, it was me". I wouldn't make my husband take the blame, but if they assume that then I'll let it go - unless they ask us directly....

When I travel I get terrible gas and my family knows it. I do have to own up to it. I am afraid to fall asleep at night because I might blow them out of the room.

hahahaha! I will usually own up to it if it's me - although most of the time you can't even tell...
You know, my husband will normally hold it in until he's alone. He's never passed gas in front of his step-mother and they've been married over 20 years!

reinydawn hi oh my yes it is always the guy takes the blame as if women are too dainty to pass gass or fart, believe me tis not so. we do pass gas or plainly spoken fart, and no we cannot control it any better than the guys, it is not controlable otherwise we need of us wo uld do this in public. its a normal function of the human body and tho it stinketh it is not to be used to make fun of the poor person who had it happen to them. I have been a nurses aid for years and know we all do it and cannot help it. so there.

This reminds me of when my husband had his first colonoscopy... He was embarrassed to fart in front of the nurses and doctor so he held it in. When he was released and in the car he let loose and it wasn't just air! After that, he let go from the time of the procedure to the way after he got home!
