This year I am giving all homemade gifts, I am sure that the grandkids won't appreciate it as much as the adults.

Just give them chocolate... they'll be too hyper to notice a difference ;)

The best gift I have ever given was my time. My friend was dying and she lived 3 hours away. We drove to her house every weekend to be with her. I bathed her, cooked for her, cleaned for her, rubbed her feet. Giving unselfishly of one's time and caring for others is one gift that doesn't cost anything and is the most generous one you can give.

Well thank you for that comment. I try to treat others they way I want to be treated myself.

hmm, I can't match that, but I've done some national service and I'm currently serving California... But gifty gifts, like the kind you give people and all, I'm about to give my friend who wants to major in environmental law a book of quotes from John Muir, I think it'll be a really good one. I hope so at least.
