should I participate?

I currently saw posters in my colleges psychology department about studies that people are conducting they are paying good money in order to participate. If you were me would you participate? Have you participated in things like this before or will you in the future? I am currently a psychology major so im thinking about helping my department out.

I've never done it but they are always doing studies like that here where I'm from and they pay really good money. If I wasn't pregnant I would take part in some now. The only thing I think about, though is will it have any long term affects.

actually there are rules and regulations now that studies have to follow. Years ago these werent there so many people had psychiatric problems do to the studies. You shouldnt have to worry now of days since studies must be approved. Most of them are just answering some questions or doing simple painless tasks. I have never actually participated but i have studied many of them so I know what they are about.
