Browser Wars:The Ultimate Browser Test is a series of browser reviews done by me. In this discussion, I have reviewed Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 The history of Internet Explorer started with Windows 95 Service Pack 2 or Windows 95 with Internet Explorer. Since then, Microsoft has improved it's browser a lot. Key features: Wide toolbar support- Most of the site that offer you to install their customized toolbar is able to run fluently only on Internet Explorer 6. Less page breaking, More support- Pages are viewed easily, and more sites support Internet Explorer. Opens site not viewable by Firefox on slow connections- Many sites that are not viewed by Firefox on slow connections, are viewed by Internet Explorer, rather easily. Easily allows Download managers- You can easily download with a download manager through IE 6, as it does not blocks the download manager when it has to download a file. Negative Points: Prone to Attacks- Any virus can easily harm your Internet browsing experience by just easily installing itself and continuously crashing the IE 6 window. Moreover, the speed is very much slowed. No multi tabs- The multiple tabs feature is not available in IE 6, however you can add this feature by installing the Windows Live toolbar. Very Bad as compared to Firefox- If you see the Key features of Firefox, then it is very bad in it's comparison. Every feature of Firefox is not available in IE 6, so I guess it's very low as compared to Mozilla Firefox browser. Thanks for reading. Reply with your ratings for IE 6 and my review.
