Why didn't I realize this before?

For some reason, instead of the usual drive-through, I went into McDonald's to get iced coffee. The usual people were there, and I saw a sign about sugar-free vanilla coffee. Well, that's what I've ordered a few times a week for months. The woman who always hands me my coffee said she didn't know I wanted sugar-free, and all this time she's been giving me the high-sugar kind. That explains why my blood sugar goes nuts so often (I'm diabetic) and why I've been gaining weight a little at a time until I feel like a whale! There's almost 100 calories' difference! I'm always so careful to be suugar-free so I won't have to increase the meds for diabetes and I've had a ninja in my coffee! This morning, I went on-line to check out the nutritional facts, and I felt like a complete fool for not figuring this out long ago. Since it's always so hot here in Miami, I often get coffee on the way to work and again on the way home! That's a lot of sugar!
Have you ever thought you were eating or drinking one thing, only to find out it's another?

That would be great if what I got was what I asked for. Fortunately, dieting to lose weight has kept the wrong coffee from causing major problems with diabetes!

I'm having iced coffee right now as we speak, Cobra!
I actually brew my own and I prefer having complete authority over what goes into my body... That Micky D's situation that you described is really scary, and I'm glad that you found out what was causing your problems...
A while back Starbucks was caught serving full strength caffeinated coffee as De-caf! :(
This was a real shocker to many folks who had been ordered to avoid caffeine by their doctors!
