What do you do for an earache?

I keep getting an earache. I went to the Dr and she said I have fluid behind my ear drum putting pressure on it. She gave me nose spray to use. Said it would dry up the fluid. It hasn't done any thing for it and today I've been getting a pain in my ear. I probably will end up going to an ENT Dr but hope I don't have to. Do any of you have a home remedy for fluid in the ear? It's not infected and not draining. Just a lot of pressure and pain. Thanks

That happened to me once I had a sinus infection that settled behind my ear drum and it felt like alot of pressure and it hurt! I had a nose spary too it will help that fluid to drain it will take a few dasy for it to start feelign better though. Put a cotton ball in your ear that will really help it out alot.

Thanks. I'll give the spray a few more days. It's really annoying. Feels like a lot of pressure. Not draining anything, just hurts.

Take Tylenol or Motrin, whatever you take for a bad headache.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. The pain is bad today.
