Which Microsoft OS do you prefer? Is it Windows Xp or Vista

Microsoft has been successful with its Windows Operating System.The first widely used OS was Windows 95,then came Windows 98,Windows Xp and Vista.These OS were user friendly unlike other open source OS which need some technical understanding.I prefer Microsoft s latest OS Vista to the previous edition.As it has wonderful Aero effects and other amazing features.How many of you here like Microsoft's product and which OS you prefer the most.Is it Windows XP or Vista??I hope everyone will be aware of you operating system.Do comment your views.

I have used both of them. My laptop is installed with vista when I bought it. The problem is, that with vista I find the difficulties with the compatibily with some games I would like to install. In the end I became devastated with the OS, and brought my computer back to the seller. And the seller said that I can install it with XP, so rather than I sell my laptop because of the OS, I re-install it with Xp so that I can use XP.
I am not saying that Xp is some much better that vista, but it is better in compatibility. I need some software, and I can't do that with vista. Maybe vista still need some upgrade so that it would be compatible with things in XP.

Thanks Kluadine!I agree with you for the fact that Vista has some compatibility problems.But I hope in the coming days Microsoft will compensate those things.Have you tried the aero effect of Vista?did u like that?

I have changed the OS back to the old XP, so I don't know what you mean by aero effect. But I can say that Vista is really good in layout and the appearance. I like the appearance of vista, but yeah.. the compatibility problems is really annoying, and the program is hard so that it makes the system going so slow in my computer.
Do you still using XP or you have switch to vista?

Thanks Klaudine!I'm using Vista from the day of its launch,I really the way it has been designed.Compared to Windows XP,Vista has inbuilt driver software for most applications and its looking good in the multimedia applications too.I really love the 3-directional aero appearance of Vista.Its mind blowing.Happy mylotting

I agree with you.That problem will be solved in the coming days,the present available updates make the existing softwares Vista compatible.Thanks for your comments.

Hi there Divinchris!
I haven't tried Vista so I can't really compare but I am very much satisfied with my Windows XP so I have no plan of changing my Operating System to Vista.

Thanks Nanayangel!Try Vista its more advanced than XP and Microsoft has stopped selling Windows XP.If u get a chance work with Vista you will really like it.
