Well it is official I am a reverse seasoned person, I guess that is what you call it. I have seen a pattern with myself over the last few years that looking back now I notice I have always done this.
I have a confession to make. I am not a Spring cleaner I am a Fall cleaner. I always try to spring clean in the past, but I always end up getting sentimental over everything and usually keep everything. And somewhere over the months and into the Fall I think to myself..."Why would I keep this?" I think it is because Spring represents new everything and it sparks my memories being so close to the New Year's past....and going into the Fall I am ready to start preparing for the next year to come. Maybe it is because I have always looked forward to the Fall as that is when school always started (bringing on new challenges), relief from the intense heat of summer, and some good cooking days loom ahead. I cannot wait to eat my tomato soup and grilled cheese or a tasty bowl of chili on a chilly evening.
I began my Fall cleaning schedule last week when I was off for four days. So my Labor day was actually a Labor day. I got tons of things done, I got rid of the old and making way for the new. And I know it is tied in to the fact that I without a doubt will be beginning the next phase of my life. I have faced a lot of issues and as I knew all along I could do it I made it through. And even now I still know I have a lot of work to do and continue to do it. One being to be a better listener, which I know I am not so horrible at now as I always look to the other side-sometimes playing devil's advocate in order to sift through the mess.
But anyhow, I know that since making a break through my constipation of moving forward in my life has been relieved. Not a lady like way of saying it I guess, but then again I am a different kind of lady. LOL
So how many of you are Fall cleaners as opposed to Spring cleaners? Have you ever thought about how this applies to your thoughts on the next year?
