How many?

I was away for about a week. Two main reasons for this. First, and I guess the more important - school started and first weeks are always really busy, my free time was even more limited. Adding to that, I upgraded firefox and was rewarded with some problems getting connected. I could have had it fixed faster but because I was so busy in real life, the browser seemed less of a priority. In any case it's fixed now, and I"m back. Now I am faced with over 200 message notifications to respond to LOL What was the most messages you had in your mail box? How did you deal with so many? Personally I am going to try to respond to all, but it might take some time.

No more than 10 messages. I hardly ever get that many messages.. Even if I am gone for a month or so..

Well it's good to respond to discussions, that's how we make our earnings. It all depends on the settings we have. I have many of my friends that have the notifications on, so each time they post a discussions I get an email telling me they did. So I go to that discussion and respond. By the way, welcome to myLot, it's a very interesting place to be :)

When I was away on vacation last year I came back to 475 messages in my inbox. And I actually went through each mylot notification I got, which was about 350. It took me a few days. I didn't mess around with discussions I couldn't write more than three lines about. That is probably why I am made it through them. I only bothered with the ones I could go in depth with.

Yes, I guess that is the way to do it. I am aware that it will take me some time to clear them all, specially because I have less time here now. But I will get it :):):)

LOL I know. In my other email I also tend to answer all, but sometimes I just loose my patience and delete the whole thing :) HOwever in here I will try to respond because sometimes we don't have that many discussions to respond to, so I'll have these ones :)

That is a lot of message for just one week, the most I've had in my inbox is 250 and that was just for three days. I guess if you have a lot of message in you inbox every day and then just stop checking them then I guess you would have a lot when you came back. But I say just deal with them one by one until you clear them all out, but I hope you know that is going to take to a long time it will take you even longer becaeus you are in school.

Yes, I'll just deal with them slowly as I find some time to come here. This is a very busy time for me , but I can still come here for a few hours each day .

Well, you are active member of mylot and thats why you receive such a huge mail for all of your activities, isn't it. I have never been so active and hence not received such response :). Yes, this is really impossible all the times to respond all mail like that. Thanks

I too am trying to clear my few hundred notifications. What I try to do is to sort out my notifications. New Comments and New Responses to my postings get priority. Then comes the discussions from the various members on my friend's list. I try to sort them out so that I can clear one member's postings at a time. That way, I am clear what I have responded to and what I have not. Everyday a little by little, I will eventually clear them all. Just that now, due to a busy schedule, it will take a little longer than usual.

200 messages are a real lot. WOW! Have the number been reduced by now...? I don't really make it a point to on all of my friends' discussions' notifications. In fact, I make it a point to regularly visit their profiles and check manually whether they have discussions. And I have quite a list of my favorite friends that I love to hang out in their discussions, if you get what I mean. But when I have to go away for a day or two, I will start to on my notifications, so that it'll be easier for me to get organized once I get back. Since I'm mostly in mylot nowadays, I do check manually. Though it's a bit tedious, it's more fun that way and I don't go for newer discussions. Sometimes I answered discussions that were way back just because I feel like answering them. Have a nice day and I'm glad you are back now, and hopefully more active as ever.

The last I look it was 300+, and that was two weeks ago. I don't want to look at it anymore really. And my notifications is only on comments and responses that I get and not on the discussions my friends started. But I will look at it sometime this week and try to respond on comments first. I am thinking of turning my notification off for responses that I get. Have a nice day!
