Al Gore Invented the Internet

Alot of people make fun of Al Gore and how he claimed he invented the internet but im not sure what people mean by this. Did he really pathetically claim that he created the internet???

He did say that he invented the internet. I don't know if he said it jokingly or seriously. I just know he didn't invent the internet.

I'm not even sure- I laughed when they had the snicker's commercial with the two animals and his character saying he claimed to have invented the net.
