My friend is traveling from Israel to Philippines. Her flight is via Bangkok. She wants to stay in Bangkok for 3 days . Now the question is that can she take the 3 day break in her journey and then continue on the same ticket from Bangkok to Philippines? Is that what you call transit? Also will she have to take all her luggage with her in Bangkok or will the luggage travel to Philippines and wait for her so that she can collect them 3 days later when she arrives in Philippines.
Please, if anyone has such an experience or if anyone is working with airlines so reply me.

I imagine that your friend will travel with one airline from Israel to Thailand and then three days later get another airline from Thailand to Philippines. I think that she will check her luggage in at the airport in Israel then she will collect it in Bangkok. Three days later she will check in her luggage in Thailand then she will collect it in the Philippines. I flew from the Seychelles to Kenya and had a transit there for a few hours. My luggage was sent from the Seychelles to the UK. A transit might last a few hours and a stop over which you are thinking of might last for a few days. I went to Israel and faced a queue for an interview, then I was taken to a private room and all my luggage was searched in great detail. I checked in at the very last minute and almost missed my flight. I advise your friend to allow 4 hours before her flight at the airport in Israel. I found 3 hours was not enough time.
