As many of you know, I've been taking a brief hiatus from Mylot because of health reasons. For awhile my hands have been burning every time I type for more than a few minutes. So, I've taken a break from typing. After a month of rest, they feel fine, but I'm still not up to typing lots every day on Mylot. It's been tough not coming to Mylot everyday and talking with everyone. Mylot has been a real creative and emotional outlet for me. During my absense I've received many lovely private messages from friends inquiring about my health and expressing concern. And I'm very grateful. It's nice to have friends. I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone. And of course, since we need a question to make this a discussion, here goes. Do you worry about your Mylot friends when they don't post on Mylot for awhile? How many of your Mylot friends have disappeared over the years, never to return to Mylot? Please share.

Awwww beauty, I'm sorry I didn't realize you weren't doing so good. I must have missed that notice. I am glad you are doing better though. I too haven't been around as much - health issues also. So maybe thats why I didn't realize you weren't here much either? Lately I've only been around for about 30 mins a day or so. What causes your problems with your hands by the way? (If you don't mind me asking) Hugs

As for my hands, they're feeling so much better since I took time to rest them. The tingling and burning in my hands started one day while I was typing on Mylot. I had posted around 100 fairly lengthy responses. I was having one of those days where I just wanted to chat. And my cat was sitting on my lap at the time. And wouldn't you know it, my hand must have been out of alignment. I started to feel some numbness. And ever since then, my hands hurt when I type for more than a few minutes. They're better now. I can type for at least half an hour with no pain. I guess that I must have stressed something in my hands. I hope that it's not arthritis. For me, that would be devastating. I depend on my hands so much as a writer. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

I hope its not carpal tunnel. It sounds alot like it. I know, because I have it in my right hand/wrist. I've declined surgery for now since it often makes things worse.

I did not realize you weren't well. I would have written as well. I do miss you when you are not around. I have been sporadic in visiting lately and haven't noticed a friend in need. I feel badly, but am very glad to have you back with us.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I have been taking some time off Mylot to heal my hands. And during my absence, I've been helping my daughter learn to read and write. She has really benefited from the extra time we've been spending together. Thanks for your comments.

Do you have carpal tunnel syndrome? That is mighty painful, and quite a problem for the computer prone. I hope you start to feel better soon. I had noticed you hadn't been around much. I often notice those who regularly start discussions when they disappear. And you're someone who I'd hate to see disappear!

Hello my dear friend, beauty queen. I was wondering how you had been as I did not see you active for some time. I didn't know about your being uncomfortable in the fingers because of typing for a few minutes. Every day lots of email notifications cover the old ones. Therefore it is very difficult to find any previous email notifications from all of my friends. I am so sorry to know about it so late until today. But I am happy to have finally read your latest discussion informing us of your latest health condition. I hope that you will be back to what you used to be very soon without having any more of this kind of problem. Good luck to you and be healthy, my dear beauty queen.

I am glad to see you back but I have to say I am sorry I didn't know you were gone. I have seen you around the last month but I guess it has been from reading and responding to your older discussions. You see, I respond mostly to the older discussions from my emails and very seldom respond from the newer ones. The reason I have been doing this is because I am tired of my responses being deleted when a discussion is deleted , as this seems to happen lots these days. So I stick to the older ones, as I know if they are deleted when I go to respond to it, it will be gone by then. But now that I have looked at some of the newer discussions I have just realised that I am missing out a lot of the discussions of what is happening to my friends, as in your case. And that is sad, so I am going to start responding to the new discussions and then go back and catch up on some of the older ones.

Don't worry about it! Mylot discussions get deleted all the time. It's not your fault. It's just the system. Sometimes, I think it goes hay wire and acts out just to get attention. Thanks for your comments!

Nice to see you back. After not seeing your post for so long I was wondering what is happening to you. Your penguin trademark has become a strong influence in your posts it made me realise your absence when I don't see the penguin anymore. There are few mylot friends no longer here, either left or being rudely axed.

Hello beautyqueen26, No wonder I don't see you here. Normally I will receive many discussions from you as you are one of the active members here *smiles* I am glad that you are back. For over a year, I have seen many members disappeared from here - some are forever (I think) and some are just taking a break from MyLot. Of course whenever I don't see my regular friends for a few days or maybe weeks, I keep thinking what actually happen to them. They make me smile a lot here and they make my life beautiful sometimes and for that, I do concern about them

I am glad your hands are feeling a little bit better. I was wondering where you were. I have been a member of myLot for almost a year and I have seen many people come and go. A few have come back after several months, but most do not.

Today my hands felt well enough, so I thought that I would post some more. It's been really fun. But the house work has been put on the back burner!

Hi Beautyqueen, I am so sorry I didn't realise you wer unwell but had in fact missed you as didn't see any discussions from you. My PMs don't work so when this happens with friends I can't even email them to see if all is okay. The odd one will send. I have a lot of private email addresses now and keep in contact that way if they are not posting now. Glad you are feeling a little better but best to rest your hands until you feel up to more typing. I really worry over my friends and get upset if any do leave for whatever reason. Ellie :D

So sorry that you have been having problems with your hands. I hope they are doing better. I'm sure that it had to be aggravating and frustrating that you couldn't do things because of that. Earlier this year, I had a problem with my left arm. I was in lots of pain with it and thought maybe I have severely pinched a nerve in my shoulder. I had to rest my shoulder and arm a LOT for about 3 months. I'm no longer in pain....thank goodness for that! But, now my left hand feels like someone has shot some novacaine in the outter half of it and my pinky and ring fingers are kinda numb/tingly. I had an MRI done back in March and the doctor told me I have arthritis in my shoulder. Ahhh...the facts of life of getting old--er. If you have any more problems with your hands, Beauty, you ought to have a specialist to take a look at what might be going on there.

That's my worst fear that it could be arthritis setting into my hands. My hands are my life. If they go, I'm out of a job. My offline work involves typing too. That's just what I'm good at. Thanks for your advice.

I worried about your when I don't see you around for a time. But I didn't sent you a private message. I was able to ask one of our common friends and she said you are just taking a break. I don't really miss my friends here. But maybe I missed you because I am used to seeing your discussion in a lot of pages before you left. Have a nice day!

Thanks! I heard through the grape vine that you were asking about me, so I wanted to drop by and keep everyone updated. Originally, my Mylot hiatus started when I was having pain in my hands. So, I had to quit typing for a long time. And once I was off Mylot, I had to figure out another way to make money, since the Mylot income was gone. So, my absence has sort of been a break to test out my other options. I'm still working on it! I'll post my banners on my profile page as I come across stuff you all might like! Thanks for your comments. Always nice to talk with you.

I do worry about missing friends, and I have had more than I can count disappear. I quit deleting them, because sometimes they come back. Just recently one friend started back who had been gone over a year, trying to sell her house and move. She has not posted much, but she is still sorting out the move. I hope you take good nutrition supplements. I found that I had some problems and as my health improved so did the tingling problem.

Oh my dear friend. I missed you. I was so worried why I haven't been receiving notifications from you. Good to see you back again. As for your question, I really get worried whenever I noticed a friend is absent on my discussions or if I see them not posting new ones. I always think what happened to them. And wishing that they're ok. Happy mylotting. HUGZ!

I think people here at my lot are friends upto my lot only. They exchange messages only relating to the my lot or getting some information about the my lot or about earning on line or any other technical advice. They do not bother whether one of the member who is not coming to my lot for days together they have no business with it. How do you see. I wish you a good health early and come back.

I'm new here so I can't answer your question completely but I can give you my opinion. YES, I totally forsee that in the future I will most definitely worry about my Mylot friends if they suddenly go missing. You seem like a VERY well liked person and I'm glad your hands are feeling a bit better..I hope they continue to be ok. Glad you're back ~ I'm guessing you're a real asset here.
