My Toes, My Knees, My Shoulder, My Head... insured?

I came upon this article "Insurance of the Rich and Famous" on msn.com. A company once insured Heidi Klum's legs for a million dollars. A winemaker had his nose insured because it's very vital to his business, an artist had his eyes insured because they give him his artistic vision... So if you could afford it (no matter how expensive the policy is), which body part would you have insured and why? Please pick just ONE body part, I think it will make the discussion more interesting and the decision a bit more difficult (or not).

That is a very different question my friend and I have never thought about insuring a body part because it seems kind of costly and silly, but if I was going to insure one body part it would probably be my mouth,so that way I can always tell my fiance I love her,and that I could not live without her, because she is my best friend,my soul mate, and I can not wait for us to become husband and wife.

If you insist on choosing anyone I would go for my brains. I think they are the stupidest yet most precious part of my body. Who knows, it could well be the next exemplary researcheable material! Sometimes less is more, isn't it!

Two points for the brain. I think the world will benefit largely from the research on your brain, mimpi. Thanks for responding.

If I were to play along with this I'd have to say my head, and more specifically my brain. But in actuality, I rather believe that buying that kind of insurance is what the Greeks used to call an act of "hubris" and therefore a precursor to doom. I am rather appalled to hear about people buying huge insurance policies on their infant children, too.

Thanks for playing along with us drannhh. One point for brain! You're the second source that I've heard hubris mentioned this week. The other source and I were talking about a different topic. I haven't heard about people buying huge insurance policies on their infant children. I think I'll check on that. Thanks again!

i guess it will be my voice box...sounds weird maybe but i couldn't think more of an asset to get insured with..my body is a mess up and its not that beatiful to begin with..so since the only good i have is my voice then i want my voice box to be insured so i can still sing..

Hello angel_of_charm. I know we tend to be very critical of how we look but I hope you know everyone, including you and your body, is beautiful in their own way. I've never thought about the voice box but it's good for you to point that out. So you must have a very good voice then. Alto or Soprano? That's all I know about singing... my voice probably needs some tweaking in the recording studio for it to be considered okay. Thanks for responding.

Wow, Anne what a great topic for discussion. I think I can't make up my mind. I am torn between my eyes and my fingers. If I say my fingers which I need to type and not my eyes the if I can't see then what do I need my fingers for. I guess if I can see then maybe I could use some sort of recording device. But then I would have to say my voice so that I could speak. Oh no! I can't pick! I was never good at making a decision! I can't answer this questions. I can't make up my mind. Forget that I tried to answer! Just pick something for me. I'm sorry!

Is this because you're a Libra again, Opal26? It's hard to just pick one, right? That's why I never mentioned what I would pick in the first place. Shhh.... Lol. If you've decided, then maybe you can come back and argue for that one body part. But I still appreciate the response.

I think mine will be my eyes because I like my eyes so much and I would love to be able to see my love ones everyday and I also want to see the world.

One point for eyes! Yes, I don't want to imagine not being able see the faces of my loved ones and the beauty of the world that I'm so accustomed to and a lot of times, take for granted. Thanks for sharing CJay77.
