And down it goes.

You sure have seen it when a pen, a piece of paper, a coin or whatever, slips through somebody's fingers. People tend to try to catch it before it hits the ground, and sometimes there are real arobatics involved, funny to watch.
When it happens to me, I don't try to catch it, because that usually makes things worse, you just push the thing out of its trajectory and it rolls someplace where you never find it again, unless you invest some extra effort to look for it.
I let it fall and just keep my eyes fixed on it. This way I can see where it ends up. But funny enough, it took me a long time to get there. I had to overcome the reflex to try and grab it. Do you have any funny stories when something slipped through your fingers?

Oh yes, I remember seeing people go through that crisis! I call it the clumsiness dance and I think it's really catching on! Have I done that myself? On the odd occasion I think. I don't know what causes that though. I guess when the item, whatever it is, falls out of your hand, there's an immediate experience of "Shock and Awe!" After having realised what has happened you turn into a real loony bin and start dancing all over the place trying to retrieve what you have lost!
. It's definitely a fun thing to watch though. Andrew
